Volunteer Experience

Throughout my DPD studies, I  have been able to get involved in the field of dietetics by volunteering at Huntington Hospital, Northwell Health. As a volunteer I was able to observe dietitians during their rounds, the different hospital units, the dietary office, and assist in the hospital kitchen.

Work Experience

I worked as a Dietetic Technician with Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital and Glen Cove Hospital. Some of my responsibilities in this position include:

• Assist patients in making appropriate menu selections
• Modify diets to comply with the hospital dietitian’s order
